An .ISO file is an image of a program or file. Basically, what that means, is it is a copy of a program. You can use these files to duplicate a program (game, movie, etc...) In this How-to I will tell you how to mount these images and with what programs. I will also try to help you understand exactly what these files are.

ü Daemon Tools Lite (Download site included in references)
ü .ISO files (downloaded)
1. Download Daemon Tools Lite.
In my references I have included a link to download Daemon Tools Lite. Go to the website and download the file. After you have finished downloading the program, install it. Run the program. Notice that nothing comes up when you run the program but if you look in the bottom right of your screen you will see that you have a new icon in the taskbar. This is Daemon Tools running.
2. Mount your image.
After you have gotten Daemon Tools running, and have downloaded and unzipped (if necessary) the .ISO file of your choice, you are ready to mount the "image." Here it is. Right-click on the Daemon tools icon in your taskbar. On the menu that pops up hover your mouse over "Virtual CD/CD ROM and on the next menu hover your mouse over "device 0." On this menu you will click on "mount image." You will get a dialog box to open up now. In this box navigate to your .ISO file and double-click on it. That’s it. Now your computer pretends that it has another CD ROM drive and if you go to my computer, you will see another drive labeled to whatever your .ISO file is.
3. Use the file.
Now after you have mounted the image, you are ready to use it. If your computer does not auto-run the file, go to My Computer and select the appropriate drive. Usually, Daemon will use the drive letter G. Enjoy!
