News: Left 4 Dead 2 footage and new DLC for Left 4 Dead 1 in the summer

A lot of people are going ballistics in a bad way at the fact that Valve is releasing Left 4 Dead 2 just a year after Left 4 Dead came out. They have good reason too; Valve hasn't really given gamers post-release satisfaction with Left 4 Dead as they have with past games like Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike which has to this day been getting new content.

So to appease fans, Valve will be announcing a new DLC for Left 4 Dead at the end of the summer. Get excited for that. On top of which, they've been working hard on the PR-mill to show fans new Left 4 Dead 2 footage. I'm with Valve on this one, the makeover that I see in the videos really require an entirely new title as opposed to just a DLC. There's a lot that's new with graphics, gameplay, and story in Left 4 Dead 2, and you can check it out for yourself below. (If you are reading this from Facebook, check it out on my site)

For those who've played Left 4 Dead, you can see that campaign finales have changed substantially in Left 4 Dead 2. In the first game, it was just a matter of surviving wave after wave of zombie hordes in one large space, and it was easy to beat if you rounded up your buddies and sat in a corner furiously pumping lead.

In the second game, it looks like finales force you to keep moving all the whilst being swarmed by zombies. Sitting in a corner is no longer an option as the zombies will keep spawning until you reach the escape zone. Lots of fun, lots of gore. But shh, we musn't let Australia know about it.

PS. I apologize in advance that whoever was playing the game sucks so bad, that he failed to enter the helicopter at the end even though he was right next to it.
