Everitt's book is comprehensive and introductory: it covers every major argument for the existence of god (including arguments that were developed in the late 20th century), but it does so in a fairly perspicuous and welcoming manner. It is not a laborious and exhaustive treatment of the topic. If you wish to be exhausted, you will have to go elsewhere.
