In recent news, 3D Realms, one-time game dev giants of the Duke Nukem series has closed due to financial issues. This means the end of the Duke Nukem Forever game that has been 12-years in development, and promised for release time and time again over the years. It even had a trailer put out to show that 3D Realms was serious, but alas, we were not to see the big, strapping, testosterone-overkill man that destroyed strippers and warthogs alike.
It isn't all lost however. I'm sure somewhere down the line, just with the Fallout series, someone will pick it up again and make it the masterpiece that it was supposed to be.
